Youth-led, community-rooted
Mind Matters is a youth-led resource hub for Swedesboro and nearby South Jersey communities. It also serves parents, caregivers and families.
Our mission
We want every young person and family in our area to know where to turn: to find trustworthy local support, understand how the brain and mental health work, explore creative ways to care for their wellbeing, and feel respected for the way their mind works.
What you’ll find here
- Neuroscience Hub: a resource finder, mental-health topics, an events calendar, wellness tools and a monthly tip.
- Research: studies explained in plain language, with their limitations.
- Neuroaesthetics: art-based activities and the research behind them.
- Neurodiversity 101: education, self-advocacy templates, youth stories and a service directory.
How we choose what to publish
Every resource listing has a source, a named reviewer and a review date. Research summaries separate what a study found from how it might be interpreted, and say what the study can’t show. We don’t accept payment for listings and we don’t endorse any provider.
What Mind Matters is not
We provide information and referrals. We do not provide diagnosis, counseling, or emergency services, and we do not run a forum or chat. If you need help now, visit Get help now.
